When Thomas Edison successfully  invented light bulb, after failing about 1000 times, all his assistants were happy.

Edison called his office boy and asked him to test the bulb.Being at lowermost position, office boy was extremely nervous and hence he accidently dropped the bulb.

Office boy got hugely scared of losing the job.   Edison got another bulb ready in 2 days and again called same office boy to his cabin and again asked him to test the bulb.

Office boy got even more nervous, all assistants were furious for the fact that Why should Edison take a risk again with him? This time testing was OK.

Edison called all his assistants and explained, had the bulb fallen down again, I would have made another one in 1-2 days but had I not given him a chance again to succeed in this endeavour, his self-belief would have dented badly forever and I didn’t want to take a bigger risk.

Edison’s reaction to the mentioned incident, his clear identification of what was the “bigger risk” clearly signifies his assignment of precedence to human values over his professional achievement.

Anyone should perhaps become a great human being first, before attaining any other heights.

Former shines even without the latter but vice versa is not possible.
